What does a typical workflow in INCIkit look like?

A typical workflow: First, you create your raw materials (with INCI names, CAS numbers, supplier data). Then you build a formula with ingredients and percentages. When you want to produce, you use the formula calculator to compute the quantities for your desired unit count. Then you start a production, enter actual quantities and LOT numbers, check off the mixing steps, and finalize the batch. Finally, you export the batch record as a PDF — fully documented, with all data in one place.

The calculator takes your formula (in percentages) and computes the exact gram amounts for a specific unit count. You enter how many units you want to produce, and INCIkit automatically calculates how many grams of each raw material you need. You can export the result directly as a mixing template PDF or start a production.

A complete batch record in INCIkit contains: batch number, date, formula name and version, produced unit count, all ingredients with target and actual quantities as well as LOT numbers, the target/actual comparison with deviations, the mixing steps as a checklist, room temperature and humidity readings, equipment used, tests performed, signature fields for the producer and reviewer, and safety instructions.

Your data is stored with Supabase, a cloud provider with servers in the EU. The database is protected by Row Level Security — this means each user can only access their own data, technically enforced at the database level.
